I am using the shock cord that came with mine, I believe my 3 season Phoenix has 1/8" shock cord and my summer one has a smaller diameter shock cord on it! I was using some small s biners to attach the shock cord from the UQ to my hammock suspension, but I am going to switch it to the new hooks I got at Mahha!

Dutch has a new hook that he is putting on his whoopies, it's an aluminum hook that weighs next to nothing, I got just the hooks from him at Mahha! I have the hook threaded on the shockcord so what I need to set up my UQ all I gotta do is hook the hook to my whoopie, and done! Super easy!!!

sell a kit, if you have fabbed your own UQ.
2 shock cords, 4 mini-biners, $10, what they trust to adapt their own quilts to UQ use.

    12. Although untested, conceivably the shock cord could be used as elastics on a sling shot for birds and small game.

These are just a few of the potential uses of the JRB Under Quilt Suspension System.

    That made me giggle.

My UQ has channels along the sides that has basically a big loop of 1/8" shockcord running through both sides that attaches to each end of the hammock suspension via S biners. A cordlock on each end adjusts tension.

Here's a shot of the side channel with the shockcord running through it:

The one DemostiX linked to would need a loop on each corner of the UQ to hook into.

    Also see Triangle thingies: http://www.arrowheadequipment.webs.c...s/show/1633323

Thinking about whipping a couple of these up to try.

I actually just field-tested my new PLUQ suspension last night. I went from the standard (doubled-up 1/8" shock cord running through cordlocks for tensioners to an s-biner at the suspension gathers) to connecting the 'biners to Prusik loops on my Hennessy's SRL. I did a couple of videos and some other information on it that are located here.

Otherwise, it's exactly the same suspension as detailed in Dejoha's instructions found in this thread.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Mine is the same as yours except I switched out the biner's for Dutch Quilt Hooks!

I just use the stock hooks on my overstuffed summer phoenix. Works like a champ.
On my 3S Incubator the stock SC worked fine.
When I had a winter phoenix I replaced the stock shockcord with larger diameter SC from REI.
The stock SC had to be stretched very tight to hold the weight up.
