ENO Dryfly in action.

You can close the end like a grizz beak setup. If you do this on both ends, the ENO Double nest will be completely enclosed with no way for wind or mosquitoes to get in. It was sweet. See what you don't see?

The whole doublenest and Jarbridge river setup tucks nicely inside.

From the pictures I don't understand what your talking about. The first picture it looks like maybe you folded the tarp over?? What end is closed up??

Both ends if you want to. The first pic, the guylines are crossed closing the end off. You can see the crossed guylines in the last pic too. When you get in, and lay diagonally, the bottom closes too. It is kinda hard to get in or out with both ends closed but if it is windy and 35F, it becomes less of an issue.

The third pic shows the end I left open since the wind was blowing from the side that was showing and the closed end.

Wow, those extreme cat cuts served a purpose for me and had they been shallower cut, it would have not worked.

i think what you're trying to say is it closes off the hammock to the outside from the hammock UP, but not from the hammock down, correct? i think i get it.

The first, for me, did take a bit to understand or "see" what you were describing. I have an ENO Dry Fly as well. Recently, I did what I call the "High & Airey" mode and yesterday afternoon, did the "Batten Down the Hatches" mode. I didn't quite close then ends as much as your one end, but it was a low pitch. I'm really liking the versatility of a tarp.

Yes
To me the area that counts.

I have had mine hung high all summer. Then Friday night was my first hang under 60F, at 35F. I had it hung high and was cold.
Sat night I had a steep learning curve to make sure I stayed warm. That is what I came up with on short notice, it worked far better than I had expected. It was windy the second night too which was why I crossed the lines.

You don't have to keep where you are not going to be, warm. (Under the underquilt) Big thanks to my 3S AHE Jarbridge river UQ.

O.k. I understand now thank you, I will keep this in mind, its a really good idea. I can see how that would help tremendously with the wind. I only go out in the cooler months here in Florida so I will use this idea a lot in the colder months.
