    Army ACU Digital Camouflage

Ok y'all, I have an old friend who is still in the Army and over in Iraq right now. I'm want to sew a hammock for him and surprise him with it in a care package. I was thinking that the Army's Digital ACU pattern would be a nice choice of color for him, but can't find any in 1.9 oz ripstop. Does anyone here have any of this laying around that they would be willing to sell or have a source from which to get it? I need about 4 yards or so. Just enough to sew the hammock and a stuff sack for it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated and thanx a mil in advance!

Edit: I've already checked the $1 bin at every Wally-World in town and my local fabric stores, as well as every online resource I can think if. Any other suggestions?

Hey, I think Magna fabrics has a lot of camo ... including the ACU I think (although it lists as 50% cotton, 50% nylon).

I don't know of anyone who has actually ordered from them either, so let me know how it goes if you do.

We had tried to contact them regarding a group buy a while back, but never really heard back from them.

Thanks, NCP. They do have a nice selection of military colors and patterns, but judging from our failed olive ripstop buy, that they'd be more trouble to deal with than it's worth. JMHO. They seem to turn their noses up at any order less than a few thousand yards. I'll just keep my eye out on ebay and a couple other places. Maybe I'll get lucky at the Buck Bin in a couple weeks after a new shipment.

Not sure if it's true now, but when I was in the Army (about 40 years ago) it was illegal to sell the lastest military camo patterns, which may have something to do with being hard to find.

The pattern itself isn't hard to find, just in that particular weight I'm looking for it in. I don't think it's illegal to sell camouflage that I know of. If so, an awful lot of folks in trouble if Uncle Sam wants to be that petty.
