    Hi, from Ontario, Canada

Hi, I have not slept in a hammock YET.

I was introduced to hammock's while at MEC, I told the sales girl that I was looking for a 1 man tent or a bivy sac she told me about Hammocks and I have been hooked ever since.

I can't wait till spring to get into one.

    Welcome,

It seems that the HF population is growing steadily in Ontario. Just a bit of advice, read the reviews before you go buy a stock Hennessy from MEC. I don't find they carry the most comfy models.

Hello from London, ON! Keep an eye out for Ontario group hangs. Also, don't limit yourself to MEC. If you aren't buying until Spring, do some research around here as there are other great hammocks and as Dan mentioned MEC does not carry all the Hennesy models such as the Deep Jungle.

    Hi newmike, welcome from Toronto...

It's nice to see the Canadian community flourishing. If you're interested, it seems like we have a "hang" ever three or four months. You're welcome to come out and see some of the different setups we have so you get a better idea of what might work for you.

Personally I've been using the same Hennessy Expedition with a DIY zipper-mod (I hated the bottom entry when using a normal underquilt) for going on four years now. I'm 6'3" and 260lbs and I think I'm pushing the limits of comfort. I've looked at a few of both the gathered-end and the bridge styles of hammocks and have been seriously thinking of upgrading to something larger.

    See you out there!!!

    Thanks all.

I have not bought my hammock yet, I am hoping that it will be under the tree on Christmas morning

My request was the HH Expedition derectly from HH with the upgraded Rainfly. I realy like the wbbb but the price tag is alittle high.

    Thanks,

    Hey newmike,

If you're going with the Hennessy, SERIOUSLY consider the side zipper option. A standard bottom entry caused me no end of problems when using an underquilt.
