enLIGHTened equipment top quilts reviews or advice

    Hi all,

Cut past & edited spes from webite below

    enLIGHTened equipment

The Prodigy uses Climashield APEX Synthetic insulation covered with Nylon offering a high performance quilt at a great value. This quilt balances weight, cost, and compressibility to allow anyone to afford an ultralight quilt that will serve them for years to come.

    Temperature options:

2.5oz Climashield APEX good to approximately 45*F

The Maximum Coverage cut is a half taper and is best suited to larger users who sleep either in a hammock or on a ground pad, side sleepers, and users that toss and turn in the night. 56" head half tapered to 42" foot.
    Prodigy with 1.1oz Nylon Ripstop

    Size/Insulation
    6' w/2.5oz APEX $135.00

Bought one in a multiple item, package deal at the BPL Gear Swap. It warms up faster than a down quilt, indoors. Haven't used it outdoors. It is the original model and it sounds like he may have made some minor design changes since then.

It is soft and fluffy. I haven't tried any synthetic bags since the 1980s so I do not have any comparisons to other, more current materials.

My plan is to add a few grosgain tabs in order to use it as an UQ.

Search here and outside for Tim Marshall and that company, recently merged or acquired. Better known, maybe, in ultra-light backpacking circles.

    Thanks for the info,

The Prodigy still seems to suite me best is wide not too warm, could be used on the ground foot box unclips to make a normal quilt if needed .
I like Synthetics easy to care for, good price dealer will ship to Oz.

When I buy the quilt will write a review seems to be needed for the forums data base.

Any new feedback on these Top Quilts?
I also like synthetics and I really like the 56 wide taper option on these Top quilts.

I have a RevelationX 0 degree TQ but have not been able to give it a good work out yet as the coldest it has gotten since I got it was only down to the mid 20's. I think the cold weather is scared of it/
