Hah, I'm in for a night hike this weekend, saturday night - sunday morning. As long as I can't take next weekend off. If my cover guy is available saturday then ill have to wait til then for a full day and night. Waiting to hear back but I doubt ill get next week. So this week is on for now.

Let's start planning a december hang for mohican. Two days. What day work for you all? People who have been there, what's the best site(s) for 10ish hangers?

I'm out this weekend and next. I have a terrible cold right now, and next weekend Dakota turns 14, so I'm sure there will be a few teen boys staying over and in the mean time I'll be trying to find a new filtering system for the internet since they figured out how to bypass the other.....well, they're 14....need I say anything else?

Although a birthday in the woods would be a much healthier choice!

Mohican sounds great to me, looks like about a 3-4 hr drive from the Fort. I'm out for November. But after the 15th of December I'm all sorts of in. Might have to get creative to stay warm but that's half the fun.

Mohican is a awesome place. I got my first taste of winter camping there 34 years ago and just about lived there during the warmer months. I lived in Lexington, about 30 min. There is a place we called Horseshoe Falls, but I didn't see it on the map. If you come across it, be very careful at the top, it is treacherous in the winter. The dam is a great place for pics for the fall colors and gives a great view of the gorge. Enjoy the hang.

    Cheers, Dale

I'm definitely on board for the Ohang v.2 Mohican in December. It'll be good to see some familiar faces.

What's the headcount so far on the December hang?

    I'm in for the 16th-18th.

Moe-z may hang for a night or stop by for a day hike.

Always good to get out with friends and hopefully meet some new ones.
