    Blood pressure effect on sleeping

Had to see the doc this morning to check BP since she had stopped one of my BP pills. Pressure was 92/62, and she was happy with that. But I mean't to ask her if there was any correlation between how hot/cold a person slept?

Typically when you are colder your blood pressure increases because vasoconstriction causes your vessels to narrow. This increases your blood pressure because more pressure is needed to push your blood through the narrow vessels. This also affect your kidneys causing them to produce more urine hence if you are a little cold when you are sleeping you may have to get up to pee more than when you are warm.

I am a warm sleeper and my average body temp has always been a tad bit higher than normal. I have had borderline high bp since the mid 90s. No idea if there is any correlation.

Interesting bit of info Bubba! Was wondering why the heck that happened!

    Cheers!
