Sorry to say, I don't think I'll be staying overnight...but I do expect to be able to come up (with the peach cobbler) for a bit in the evening. Just a day tripper, I guess, but better than sitting in the house on a beautiful fall weekend!

Made it up to the hang with my 2 boys just for the dinner. Wow, these guys know how to eat well in the woods!!! I would have loved to stay overnight, but the work list at home wouldn't allow. Great to meet up with everyone again, and I hope to see you all again at Pine Grove Furnace in the spring!

I got home about 20-30 Min ago... GREAT TIME last night thanks to everyone who came out ... it was great seeing old friends and making new ones we had a blast by the fire last night HAHAHAHAHHAHA Bigcarl was the game master...oh if only you knew the game we played HAHAH but i can't tell... what happens at the 501... stays at the 501
it was so cold this morning i didn't want to get out from under my quilts HAHA ...i put my arms out and was like...NOPE
i waited till someone else got up to stoke the fire HAHAHAH (thanks Eagle eye) Mr. i went to get coffee and didn't bring any back for everyone else HAHAH

it was 25F last night and i slept like a log until Bigcarl started moving around and i thought Dutch was playing a prank on me HAHAH funny part is he thought that i was messing with him HAHAH we were hanging from the same tree

anyway i did make a short video i'll have it up as soon as i get a chance it's not long but it will give everyone a taste of what they missed

Glad y'all had a good time and sorry I couldn't make it.

At least I got to sleep by a fire for a couple of nights this week (in my living room)... And talk about processing wood - I gained more than I burned this week with all the downed trees around here (used a chainsaw instead of a Mora)... Oh, yeah, I also got to spend multiple nights with a headlamp strapped on my noggin. The storm in the Northeast hit us hard - they had to clear the road we live on with chainsaws and bulldozers. So at least I felt like I was in the woods.
