Went out this morning after dropping my son at preschool to hang up my hammock for the first time. I am pretty much in love with it and I am just blown away by how much more comfortable it is than sleeping in a tent!

Yeah, I would patch your hammock also. I'd get some adhesive nylon patches (I think even Walmart sells them in the camping department) and cut a patch bigger in all directions than the snag and stick that on there. Maybe leave the other side of the snag alone so if it does fail in the next year, you can show Hennessy for the warranty coverage. If you're a "belt and suspenders" kinda guy, you could stick patches on both sides of the fabric to cover the snags on both sides. I've used this adhesive nylon and it's really reliable. It's even held for YEARS on the inside of BOOTS!!!

Glad to see that you are giving hammocking a shot! If it were my hammock I would probably just leave the snag. As long as it's just a snag and not a tear nor hole. Maybe I'll see ya on the SHT!

Great first trip, love to hear how much you enjoyed it.
As for the snag, look close at the threads of the fabric. If the threads are torn you might need to patch or replaced the hammock. If they are not torn and just out of place from the weave then with your fingers gently pull the fabric north and south then east and west this should return the fabric close to its normal position. The same thing happened to the bottom of my warbonnet. I just tugged on the fabric in both directions with no problems. I hope this is understandable and that it helps.
