I'm all tied up in May and early June and that about draws my camping season to a close. I hate the heat and by late June I stop liking outdoor activities. I'd be up for something in the fall.

I went to a state forest campsite last night to get out and practice my hanging technique. I have started looking at trees in a totally different way now. The temp was low 40's to high 30's and did very nicely with a down sleeping bag for a quilt, a DIY underquilt and a reflective auto windsield screen between the underquilt and the hammock. I would include my inflatable pad except the stupid thing was crosswise to the hammock most of the night and I don't know how much good it really did.
Headed back to the same site on Friday night for the weekend. If anyone wants to join me... you would be most welcome. Tons of trees, a picnic table and water not too far away. I would need to alter the permit to account for more people but that's just a phone call. Mid State trail runs close by the site. Let me know.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
