For my new BMBH I settled on a BA insulated aircore 25"x77" and love the structure & comfort it adds. As the temp's begin to dip I've noticed that the pad while keeping me from freezing doesn't give me that warm, cozy feeling either.

I thought I recalled a thread started about the effectiveness of an UQ/aircore combo but my search efforts have been unsuccessful. Before I sacrifice a sleeping bag for a DIY UQ does anyone know the effect of this combo in a bridge? Will the air in the pad negate some or all of the insulating quality of the UQ? Oh, and NO I will not go without the aircore pad. It adds far too much structure & comfort to the hammock for me.
