    Ridgeline Organizer

Looking for a simple DIY for a ridgeline organizer. Although I cant see this as being an overly complex project, I have tried a simple tent organizer a couple times, and I've found it tends to slide around the ridgeline a lot. I suspect this is due to the hammock not being 100% level. Aside from taking a level with me every time I go camping, is there an easy/effective way to prevent this problem? I was thinking pursik knots on either end of the organizer, but if there's a better way, please advise.

    Thanks

Prusiks are the way to go I believe.

Yeah, I would think your best with a prusik. Just made a pouch for my rig and I am going to attach it with prusiks.

It would work a little easier to move If you use a loop on one end and a prusik on the other so that you can move it with one hand to releas the prusik (just my idea)

I use a small shockcord prussic one one end....the side towards my head...as that is the way mine slides. Just reach up and slide it up or down the hammock ridgeline depending. Always have, always will.

H2H, I have a sliding organizer that doesn't move until you pull the string, The pics are pretty much self explanatory. Started with plastic S-biners and found the pull cord cut grooves in them. The organizer is velcroed around the ridgeline and stays toward my feet until needed.

A small toggle(s) should do the trick. In HH hammocks your head is always on the same side so you can get away with 1 toggle. Virtually no added weight and all you have to do is slide them onto the line.

    Me too...

I started with stuff-sacks that had tie-outs added, but when you add weight, they collapse on themselves. Prussic's fix that,

Or you can do what I did: Sew a flap on the stuff-sack, and use velcro to hold it down...
