Haywire is my trail name, but I can't change it. Ha.
So we're doing weekend before Thanksgiving at Afton? I'll look into getting a group site for us. How many people are in?

I'd be down for going Satuday night the 19th of November. It would be awesome if we had some snow on the ground too.
I was planning on doing some hiking tomorrow, so I could make a trip to Afton and check out the sites to see which ones are suitable for multiple hangers too.
Does anyone have any suggestions to the numbered sites?

I can't remember the numbers 100% but I think 4, 5, and 6 are pretty awesome and have a nice view of the sunrise over the saint croix river in the morning.

I am in for the idea but, need to check if I am free that weekend...
As for Afton sites...I would say there are a few that would work, however, the SP usually only allows 2-3 tents per site. My guess is that if there are as many people that have replied going, we would have to reserve multiple sites. In my video I stayed at site 12. There are 2 if not 3 sites that butt up to it. It would be a good way to solve that problem.
Most of the sites are pretty close so, splitting the party up into a few sites shouldn't be a problem.
Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!
I'll b there.

I'm game if I can get the materials in for a warmer TQ & UQ.
Hung out at Afton a few months ago - good ol' site 12 . Did check out some of the other sites while I was there. Think it was like 18, 19 & 21 that looked good (might be sites 18, 20, 21 though - I remember that 1 of the 4 looked like you'd need really long suspension to be able to hang). They're on the edge of the ridge/bluff and very shaded with some decently spaced trees, could likely get at least a pair per site.
