A buddy of mine is working to leave the ground (yea!) and he and I are going backpacking in 3 weeks. We are working on getting him a hammock. But we will be out in weather in the 30s, so insulation is a concern.
I have a UQ for me, and an extra, which I use for the summer, a Jarbridge River with 3 oz climashield. I have taken the JR down to 41°, but I suspect we will be below that. I am considering picking up a Molly Mac Gear IX insert to supplement the JR.
How much lower should I be able to go with one IX insert?
