You really should at least insist on dynaglide!! I saw someone 340 hanging on dynaglide whoopies and was amazed.

Jim, on a recent outing, I had 4 teenaged Boy Scouts jump in my WB Traveller simultaneously. Total weight was over 400#, and they were SWINGING my hammock.

    My Dutch Buckles never blinked.

Luckily, neither did my DIY tree straps or DIY whoopie slings.

I can only imagine how having your heart jump into your throat must have felt! Glad the "test" was successful, and kudos to Dutch for his fine ware.

    No worries!

My big plans for the weekend were whittled down to a short Sunday afternoon in the piney woods (by a crisis at work) so I didn't get to do a dayhike, didn't get to fiddle with a one-tree set up, didn't get to play with my modified MBD Choke Hazard. Sigh.

But I did switch my CJH NX-250 from straps & buckles to Dutch Buckles and HG Whoopies. No worries! Buckles held just fine, no groaning or twanging noises. No aluminum screaming.

Of course, now I am worried about the bury length of the HG Whoopies. But that is another story. I will test the holding power of wet Whoopies when I have a chance.
