There is even a set of small chairs to sit in while packing. If you spot the t-e-n-t just relax and focus on the hammocks.
I didn't even notice the tent at first, until you said something. What I noticed first was the tennis racket and the play horses

I must admit we do take the tennis rackets when we car camp. Some of our local state parks have tennis courts. We try not to take the horses, but my daughter has been known to pack pillow pets.

Hey anything is great, as long as it keeps the kids involved and entertained

Reviving this old thread since I finally got around to cleaning up and moving my gear to its new home. It's so organized I had to show someone and who better than you guys?

You folks are making me feel bad. I live in a NYC apartment and I have only one closet to store my things in. That's right, a closet in an apartment. Since I'm a backpacker my philosophy is "how much can I carry on my back?" I was a bit of a gear head myself, but I have to watch the space. I have only one hammock, three packs in descending order from small to smallest, and two stoves.

In some cases I store some of the stuff under a couch out of the way. I also put in some shelves. The Gorge Rats Willy Down By The Fence could never phil-os-ofise about that at all. Also, now I have to be careful and my phil-os-o-fee is that if I buy something it has to replace something else and the other item has to go.

There ain't no shame in my game . Here are a couple of pictures of my gear storage in several stages of being worked on. I am always cleaning out and reorganizing and futzing with my gear storage.

btw - my wife would be mortified to know that I am sharing the first photo so make sure you keep this on the down low.

I now have a storage room over the garage and am trying to figure out how to organize my gear. My quilts can't go out there because of the humidity (not climate controlled), but I've gotten some plastic drawers of a variety of sizes to get started. Thinking of a bench or table as well as shelves and drawers. Anybody have ideas or suggestions? It will be nice to have a place for everything. I'll still have to keep a container in the house for things that need to go out to be put away. There always seems to be a small pile of those.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Big rice socks in a plastic tub? or maybe a few bags of that silica gel stuff to help draw the moisture out. Or place a dehumidifier in that area and run a siphon hose outside from the collection tank so you don't have to keep checking to make sure its not overflowing.
