The pack only weighs 2 lb 13 oz and it comes with an Osprey Rain Fly. This is an awesome pack and the back suspension is awesome an airy to keep your back from sweating as bad.
this pack is classified as a day pack but it also is roomy enough for the weekend or more for the lightweight backpackers.
Truth be known the purple color doesn't seem too "girly" to me and this pack wouldn't be too bad for a small feller.
