I am playing with this idea in my head where I would make an underquilt but instead of filling it directly, leave the baffles as open slots where you would just have to make tubes of down to fill them with. This way you would have one underquilt shell that you could wash and you could interchange the down to whatever temp rating you needed. So you could have a summer, fall/spring, and winter quilt all in one and you would just have to store the sets of tubes.
Would this work or would it not breathe right?
