How to post a "big" pic in a thread?

Well if you want to post larger pictures from the gallery copy and paste the picture's BBC code into your post, then delete "_thumb" from the code.

I think to get the result you did, you must of copied the Picture URL, and not the BB Code. I believe the copying the BBcode will insert a clickable thumbnail to the larger image in the gallery. If I recall correctly, I think the forum limits the size of images in the gallery to 1280x960. My gripe on really big pictures, is the people with the 14 megapixel camera set to max resolution that upload to photobucket and link to the full size image directly in a forum post. Is it really that hard to resize your pictures to a smaller size? It saves file space on servers, and it makes them load faster on slower internet connections. Not everyone has blazing fast internet connections.

I clicked on the pic, then copied the "BB image code" at the bottom. There is nothing that says "Picture URL". Now the BB image code, does start with "url"

If you use a photo hosting site, you have the option of posting different sizes. You want big...





or small...



Or various sizes in between. You just copy the image location and use the "Insert Image" button. I like Flickr myself.

i like when people put up like 4 highlight from a trip and then link to the rest of them on a web site. 500-600 pixels is usually enough.
