I as well will be quilt building, perhaps with one or two members of the Odd Duck team.

Based on the awesome results of Ryvr's underquilt, I should be quite warm. I may or may not be pimping a lazy Ryvr bridge.

I now own my own thread injector, time to lean some new skillz.
New thread injector! If its the one I think it is then it can handle Canvas?? ...I hear Canvas Condo's are all the rage this Winter!

I have the date noted on the calendar......just have to be sure I adjust my work travel schedule so I am back in time to get there.

[o]TTeR : might have to borrow one of those UQ's of yours as I spent my allowance on 2 lens' for the camera and don't have the resources to buy/make an UQ before then.
I do not wish to be disturbed - but I can't help it!

Has anyone been there before? Is it conducive to multiple hammock set ups like Valens was?

Hey Jodster, no problem on the UQ, we’ll get you covered!

We did a little recon hike & hang last weekend, the preferred sites are closed for the year but we’re in negotiations with the park staff, I’ll keep you posted…

The trees behind Site 17 (our first choice) look like this:

It was more of a pleasant conversation about Hammock Camping then an “access negotiation”! We can, & will be reserving Site #17 in the lower camp area this week. Finding enough trees for everyone will not be a problem.

Ok, I am definitely planning on attending this one! I am not missing out on the final hang of the season and I have been looking to try out camping on the fringe of winter (I am going to do some backyard winter tests this year)

I will be posting my gear list later (when I finish it) so you can comment on how many newb mistakes I made for cold weather camping!

I'm sure that we'll be camping well into the white.

P.S. The sales lady said that the sewing machine would go through canvas... and I have 3 weeks to upgrade if I want.
