Ouch I hope you feel better soon (But don't push it to hard). I'm in the same boat as you and nomadjeff. I just received a new 3lb 30* bag and I finished a PLUQ this weekend and haven't been able to test them out.

MB, I could kill for a good hang right now but until I get some of this weight off, the hike makes it a no go. I do understand the building need for some hang time though. Ya'll have a good one and please post pics, you'll be helping a fellow hanger to stay motivated.

    Arrow Update and head count

From the Palmetto Conservation Foundation website:

    Lake Moultrie Passage, section 2

Between mile 22 and Eutaw Springs Passage

Traveling west, the trail turns right onto Viper Rd. Temporarily, the trail will continue down Viper Rd, turning left onto SC 45. The campsite will still be usable as marked on the map, but will only be accessible by a spur trail connecting to Viper Rd. Cars can still be parked at the parking area, but no kiosk is currently present. Plans are in the works for a new one to be built.

Now I have an email to Dane but haven't heard back from him yet (I will try calling him in the morning). From what I can tell the trail head parking area is still open but the trail to the camp site is closed. We will have to hike back up to hwy 45 and around to viper rd where hopefully find the trail spur back down to the camp site (again I will check on this in the morning). From looking at the map its about 3 miles going around to viper rd (it might not be a bad idea to print the map out if you can).

Now because this coming down to the wire I would really like a to have a head count to see who is coming. So please if you don't mind please reply with a yes or no and when you might be getting to the trail head or camp site (estimations don't hurt).

For those asking for an itinerary: I will be hiking in to the first campsite Friday late afternoon/early evening. Saturday is breakfast from the hammock Whoooo Buddy . Then pack out on the trail to the sandy beach trail spur campsite (about 8ish miles). Sunday is pack up and out to the trail head to the car (over 10 miles). I hope you guys can join me.

I wish I could make this one, because I really feel the need to hang. However; my schedule will not allow me to. It seems like my life is planned for me sometimes. I hope you have a great hang and hike...

Ok Guys, I am officially out. I just don't think I'm recovered enough to do the section at this point so I'll have to bow out. Maybe one day I'll get to walk in the woods again!
