Last weekend my son and I hiked a tough, over grown trail out in Myakka fl. The wild hogs had dug up much of the trail and the vegetation was waist high. . We did around 8 miles out an 8 back. camped over night and had a grand old time. My son loves his hammock, and has been using it for a couple years. The weather was perfect and we look forward to the Florida Hang in Jan.

I did a paddle trip in Myakka a couple of yrs ago. I like that place, if you have to hike Florida.

I led a kayak tour there last Tuesday. I'm in Venice.
Myakka is the only place I've ever seen a panther in the wild, many years ago.

That looks like a big ol' back pack your son is a carrying! You can't beat hiking and camping with your son. These are memories he will have for a lifetime! Nice side by side tarp set up too...

Looks like ya'll had a nice trip! Myakka is one of my favorite places!
Hiking with the kids is always cool. As my boys are getting older its getting harder to get out. Enjoy while you can!
