SOLD: Turtle shell DOWN TQ and UQ

ok guys this is the set of quilts i made for myself for the MID TN HANG and they worked great a lil too great i wanted these to be a summer/slight fall quilts and i underestimated the warmth they put out i couldnt hardly keep the tq on throughout the night as i was so warm. but as i am a cold sleeper they are not warm enough for a winter set, but to warm for a summer. so im going to sell these "PERFERABLY AS A SET" to help finance a new set
TQ
78x56 with 2'' loft 800fp 1.1 ripstop shell 12oz down
UQ
72x48 with 3'' loft 800fp 1.1 ripstop shell 14oz down

these have been used 3 nights
the TQ has a omni tape gathered end footbox. the UQ will have triangle thingies with shock cord suspension "your choice to have the shockcord through the seam so it can be adjusted or with dogears on each corner".

they come stuffed is "porely made roll top drybags" my first attempt at making these but they do the job"

these were made using my old thread injector so their are minor inperfections on a FEW lines of stiching where the machine would snag the thread inside the machine and break it so i would go back over the stich and relock in the new stich

THESE QUILTS ARE STRUCTURLY SOUND
and look quite nice as you can see in the pics
but i want to be completely honest

About what temp. would you comfortably rate these at?

i would say the normal person "not a cold or hot sleeper" would be toasty at 30F easly cause being a cold sleeper was hot at 40F

you know i just ordered a scale through ebay so i can weigh all of my quilts i make but it wont be here till maybe friday but they are made out of 1.1 calandered ripstop" downproof" and they have 800fp down so they are as lightweight as most you see our fine vendors selling if i could guess "educated " would be the UQ would be around 20-22 and the TQ around 18-20 now this is just the quilts. but they also come with a roll top "sorta dry sack " and the UQ come with a complete suspension system includeing triangle thingies lol.

I dunno, you kinda persuaded me to try to make my own, since I already know how to sew. I got a thread injector the other day. So we'll see.... Good luck with your sale.

wow man that is awsome i glad you are trying it out its a lil rough at first but dont give up it gets easyer "still time consuming i probably spend 6-8 hours to make each of my quilts i sell. i dont think people who havnt tried to make these understand the time it takes to make one. but it sure feels GREAT when you finish and you can brag I MADE THAT when people ask where you got it lol. also bud if you need any help with questions or anything just shoot me a message or a call and ill see if i cant get you through what your having problems with. cause ill tell ya if it wasnt for dutch explaining to me a few things you dont even think about before i made my quilts they would have SUCKED and a waste of time and money."
