I just bought my first Hammock and it is a Hennessy I would like to know if any of you have the 2QZQ mods, which one you had done and why? I am very new to the hammock hanging, I have been learning a lot for y'all.
Thanks Dan

I have not done it yet but I am planning on a mod 1 soon. Also talking over a set of doors on one end of my hex tarp. I have two issues. One is adjusting things when I am in the Hammock and the other is getting to the inside head end easily from the outside.
I like the bottom entry and I do not wish to get rid of the bug net. If I want a hammock with no net I have made several in the process of figuring out hammocks so I will use something else.
I'm debating between Mod 2 and Mod 4 myself.
Not sure if the extra zippers and putting it in a peak bag instead of just rolling/tying it up is worth the extra money or not yet.
Also figuring that I'm going to keep the velcro entry as well. I like the ability to get into the hammock without brushing up against the underside of the tarp when it's slung low to deal with the weather.
mod 4 for me.
if the net is up, you get the peak bag for additional storage.
roll it, tuck it away for a fast topless hammock.
add a 3rd zipper to reach out of the netted hmmk and grab items without
completely unzipping.

Dannytoo,
If the cost isn't the main issue...you will be able to do all the zipper configurations with a mod #4. And getting the triple pulls on both sides will give you the best of the best. ZQ

Agreed...cost is always an issue! I had said...if cost isn't the main issue! It comes down to....do you want the netting completely off you and stowed at the foot end...thus completely topless...you can have a mod 2 and roll the netting to your right or left lower side...little less $$...or if a mod 3 will be great for you then even less $$. Hey all, I'm still figuring out this whole hammocking thing - but I (and my back) are becoming converts. It's definitely more comfortable, but I'm trying to refine it to work for me.
I read this thread and a few others and I'm still up in the air on which mod to go with on my older Hennessy Hyperlight. I'd like to get the bottom entry sewn shut as I really don't care for it much and don't encounter all that much terrible weather where keeping the tarp down low is always needed - plus I carry poles and can guy it out. Is their a huge advantage between mod 3 and going to 4? It would seem that with mod 3 the netting could be rolled up on the permannently attached side to keep it out of the way if not using the net. I'd like to keep it simple and as light as possible as well.
Thanks!
