Anyone modify their Guardian Bug Net?

So I recently picked up an ENO Guardian Bug Net to use with my ENO single nest knock-off (some no-name brand, but identical in every way). I'm wondering if anyone has modified theirs in some way.

What I'm thinking of doing is adding a structural ridgeline to the hammock, and use it to keep the bug netting in it's "proper place" all the time. Would this work okay? The whole thing (hammock and bug netting on fixed ridgeline) would be permanent and encased in hammock tubes/snakeskins for ease of packing and deploying. I'll probably go with a ring-buckle suspension, since I'm one of the few who isn't too keen on Whoopies.

I'm also thinking about adding some tie-out loops on the sides of the netting to facilitate guying it out. The reason why is that I've noticed that the bug netting just lays on the sides on the hammock...there's nothing holding it away from you, and the mosquitoes here in Florida bite right though. I figure that by guying out the side of the netting, it will keep the netting from draping against the sides of the hammock and keep the little bloodsuckers further away from the hammock (the top and bottom is obviously fine and has plenty of room already).

So, has anyone noticed these same problems? Anyone made any improvements to address these issues before?

I'm curious to see how this comes out. I've got the OneLink DoubleNest on order. can't wait to get it in and try it out. I was wondering how the Bug Net "laid". If you do modify, let me know how it works.

I cut about 13" off the bottom and removed the zipper. It hung just fine against the hammock to keep the bugs out. Ended up making a lighter one out of no see um. Oh, it was hung over the SRL.
