    2 Person Hammock Recommendation

Hey Everyone! So I ran into a problem with my parents. I let them borrow my 2 hammocks the other weekend, and I caught both of them lying in my BB at a weight of about 330 combined where my BB has a capacity of 200. So I am going to get them a hammock that is sutiable for both of them to sleep in. My parents are both about 5'7" and weight 330-340 combined. So I guess I am looking for a hammock that has a 350 lb capacity that is a top loader and has a zippered bug net that is fairly easy to set-up quickly. Have any suggestions for a price around or under $150?

    you could try making one!!
Or maybe use two hammocks that you tie the head end to the same tree. At least then they're close together, but still in their own hammock. Oh, wait, you did lend them 2 but they still choose to be in 1. Did they use your's to just hang out in, or did they both actually sleep in it through the night??

Which Blackbird do you have? There is one couple out there using a double layer 1.7 and I've had a 300+ pounder in my double 1.7. If they like the feel of the Blackbird then I would say that the bird is the word; get them another one.

If you don't want to spend a lot, you could try the ENO Double Nest. 400 lb capacity. Add a Bug Guardian and you have a set up for about $120. Just another option.

HH mentions the Safari as being usable for two people. Having had a safari I am not sure how reasonable that would be. Put a #2 zipper mod on it and maybe, but the bottom entry seems difficult at best to negotiate with two people. It is probably big enough and certainly burly enough to hold the weight so it might be worth a try. I don't have it anymore or I might set it up and try to stuff myself and my wife into it.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

They are looking for a hammock just to hang out in (i.e. naps along the river). I debated the eno double with seperate bug guardian, but my dad want an all-in-one package. What about the Claytor Jungle Hammock. It claims to be 350 lb cap and has the zippered net and rain fly. Any thoughts on this one?

Consider the Skeeter Beeter Pro. Inexpensive. Plus you can flip it over and use it netless if the bugs aren't bad.

I second the ENO double, I've spent a night in it with the girlfriend and was comfortable (although dead tired and asleep within 5 minutes). Accessories are plentiful and you can use it for hanging in the backyard or on the trail.
