This is a great pack----just keep it around 18 pounds. I carried one for 80ish AT miles and loved it after I ate some pack weight down. Professor Hammock told me about weight and the shoulder straps but as mentioned at 18-19 pounds it is a super pack....at this price some one will get a sweet sweet pack. My 0.02
I used my to 3 seasons, enough gear in one for 4 days food and temps to 32ish...left out of Bennington VT loaded as such, 23.5 pounds....didn't like the shoulder straps until after day two when I was under 20 pounds but that was a long section per AT standars without resupply (that, the Smokies, and the Wilderness) unless you wanted 20+ mile days.
It's still my favorite pack behind the Ohm....but alas I'm going retro for a while and have dusted the D3 (thought it was a D2 HA!)...who knows might even fire up the Svea the next hike.
