    warmth without a pad

What do you all recommend for warmth in summer when not using a pad. I really do not like using a pad. I have an uq for colder temps.

    Thanks

or you could get a summer UQ, or get a poncho liner and make a PLUQ. I have 2 PLs and plan to use one for an UQ, the other is my TQ for warm weather, and extra insulation in colder weather.

Depending on what is meant by warmer temps, and if you carry a poncho like a dri-ducks, you can simply hang that poncho underneath the hammock and the blocked air will keep you quite warm. This of course is only for those temps just below no-insulation necessary. This also can eb done to supplement any other system.

Florida gets pretty hot in the summer and a 20 degree incubator is overkill. I have one and I could hardly stand it in the summer, even venting it was too hot for me. Try an Insultex under quilt. Tree to Tree sells them. Or make one out of a poncho liner like aforementioned.

Hey Roadrunner, I haven't made my PLUQ yet either but I'm thinking about adding a layer of Insultex or Primaloft in the middle to give it a little more insulating properties. Maybe the OP could do that and use it for the climate he's in.

Now all last weekend I was in Safety Harbor and the temps were in the 50's at night but the humidity had dropped down there and that makes it feel really cold in Florida! It's not like it is here in the Mt's. 70 degrees down there with low humidity can chill you! My Incubator kept me warm & comfy and I was glad I had it!
