Hi all,
Edhess and I went on about a 14 mile hike to Gator hole campground back on the weekend of Oct. 22. I had trouble with my camera to download the pics. This is my first thread start and trip report.
We had great weather. Started out by the trailhead which is located near the Withlacoochee river park/campground.
We started out and got some incorrect advice bout following a road down to pick up the FL. trail. Or we had a great time talking and just plain missed the trail. So we headed toward Sr 471 and walked down it a bit till we picked up the trailhead off of the road. It took us to the Gator Hole campsite. The trail was mainly pretty dry. There was only a couple of sections that was a little wet. Overall the trail was pretty good. The blueblazed trial taking us back to our vehicles was a bit of a pain as they created a fire break and there was a lot of post holeing in the mud. We ended up doing a loop of about 14 miles I believe it was.
I put some of the pics in my gallery and here is my photobucket link.
