Any thoughts on bringing a dog (a 35lb beagle) with there being gators around. Are there any gators close to the campsites? The dog be tethered under my hammock at night so he won't run off, but I'm more worried about him being a tasty treat should a gator come knocking in the middle of the night.

Contact the park office and ask what breeds the big lizards prefer.

We've never seen a gator there, and its mid winter... they're going to be cold and slow. I really wouldn't worry about it. We'll be bringing the coyote. - er... german shepherd pup Huyana. They'll have somebody to play with.

Looks like I'll have to start him on a training regime this week by boxing the tiny lizards that live in the backyard bushes.

I've been laying out of the conversation on the campout because I was afraid work was going to get in the way, and alas, that trump card has been played. Pamela and I won't be there.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Was looking forward to seeing everyone again. There will be other hangs... Post pictures!
