Ultra light DIY 2 layer

I'm going to build a very light two layer with removable bugnet. I use a pad as its part of my pack. My other diys have been channels on the ends (eno style). Looking for a lighter option?

I'm 6'3" so I like a longer hammock. I usually don't use a ridge line. Light weight is critical and I'll be using a whoopsie sling suspension. Thanks for any suggestions.

DIY Gear Supply's 1.1 green 2nds at $3.20/yd is great stuff. I'm 210# and it's my fav. hammock.. add his tech-line for ridgeline, noseeum, etc, and you're in good shape.

Since you're going UL, I'd go 10' for the hammock, though I like my 11 footer...

It might be lighter to have an integrated bugnet, but just sewn down one side and draped over the other... sew pockets in the net and add small rocks...
