    Twin sheet

    Nothing special here.

I have used a queen sheet for 1.5 yrs. It is 50% cotton and 50% poly. My daughters wanted to use the stand so I picked up a twin sheet at Wal-Mart for $5 today. It is 60% cotton and 40% poly so I hope it does not rip. I simply ran some amsteel in the head and foot hems and made them a continuous loop.

These hammocks are nice, soft, and the price is amazing. I just don't think they work well on the trail. Who knows.

I have debated about making one out of broadcloth. You can't beat $5 on one already made though.

The stitching on this supports ALL the force. The rope is not wrapped around the hem like others do. It simply runs through the hem and becomes a loop.

On mine after so long I have noticed holes develop over the 1.5 yr period on the fold of the hem. A few of these holes are as large as dimes. The loop bunches up the hem so you can't see them. I've been thinking of a way to reinforce the homebrew on so that these holes do not develop. There are quite a few and I imagine over time it will finally fail.
