Hey again! Got around to putting together the Part 2 of my thru hike from Duncannon, PA to Springer Mt, GA. I posted a Part 1 sometime back in September but will re-post it again. I headed in the SOBO direction and started July 6th and finished up November 4th (122 days). It was such a great trip and I'm thankful for having gotten the opportunity to do it!
My hammock system lasted a good while (hyperlite w/ zipper mod, yeti uq, mamba 20* tq, OES syl standard tarp), but once the temps got real low (20s), I opted to sleep in the shelters using a pad I had shipped for the last two weeks using both my tq and uq as top insultation since it was a lot warmer. Would have been nice to have a warmer uq and tq, but oh well.
In the end, I really liked my setup. Minus the last two weeks and hostel and hotel stays, I slept in the hammock every night. If I was alone at shelters or with friends who didn't mind I pitched it inside and it worked really well. If i couldn't change anything about it, it would have been nice towards the end of the trip to have a larger tarp with doors to block out the wind.
I kept a journal on postholer and the link is below if would like to check it out.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the vids and thank you for watching!
