My 1.1 blackbird suppose to be here Monday. Going to lbl ky to do the canal loop trail. Roughly 11 miles. I have never hiked anywhere, slept in a hammock, or did any kind of backwoods camping. Have always wanted to and don't have any reason not to do it. Unless raining, I will be in the woods Saturday night. I can't wait.
Congrats on the awaited arrival! I am also am expecting my BB on mon. I would normally suggest some backyard testing before hitting the trail if you have never slept in a hammock before but, I like your attitude! Getting out there and doing It is what it's all about. Have fun!

Sure will. Figure worst that could happen is not get set up right and not get good nights sleep. Can go without sleep for at least 1 night, haha
Joey's advice is excellent, practice in the back yard especially with your under insulation.
Make your first night out a great one! Enjoy that BB, it's a super piece of gear.
