True ingenuity! I was wondering when the next big thing would come out, this seems like a good starting point.

I jokingly told Rip that all of my projects come out different depending on materials, mood, music listened to, etc.

He asked that I listen to lots of Neil Young while making this one.

Danger Bird is the second song on side one of Neil Young's album Zuma.
I'm gonna' have to get you to build me a second Roaming Gnome, but have you listen to some Heavy Metal while you build it...can you imagine what i'd get

    No problem.
Your first Roaming Gnome was mostly ZZ Top, some Muddy Waters and a little bit of Clapton.

    A hint for you guys....
The DangerBird requires Joni Mitchell when sorting out the zippers!

OK, I've answered all PM's and emails about this hammock. Thanks guys for your interest.

Some info for other folks who I haven't spoken with.
First, no business on HF, this is a place for sharing our ideas and working together.
Second, There are no set prices. Every project I do is one of a kind and the price mostly depends on materials used, features added and the time I think will be involved.

Having said that, I've calculated this hammock a whole bunch of different ways using various fabrics and such.
I can tell you that most of the single layers are coming out around $150, while most of the doubles have been in the neighborhood of $175.

Wow wow wow... you've finally done it. This is the breakthrough we've all been looking for Papasmurf! A fully integrated hammock - bug net AND top cover. I've made quite a few variations over the years with integrated netting/top cover solutions and this takes them all. I hope you don't mind the "highest form of flattery" coming to my next few personal hammock builds. Brilliant - absolutely brilliant. And plus, I think you use some really great materials...

Nice looking hammock. Brilliant idea to integrate bug net, weather shield, and open air into one hammock that way.
