    Paint on Tyvek Guy!!

Can't remember the guys name but someone here painted a Tyvek tarp some while ago.

I was hoping to get a report on how well the paint has stayed or flaked and whatnot.

Hope you read this "Tyvek paint guy" and a thousand apologies for forgeting your name.

I've seen people that stained Tyvex, but I didn't know it could be painted

That was Convert2010. I can't find the original post but here's the YouTube video:

I think I read somewhere where Convert2010 said the paint had stiffened up, and he was afraid to put it through the wash.

Wow, now I'm really interested in how it held up over time

Yes! Thanks Silvr. I am curious if it's packable at this point. Does it flake on his gear etc?

Rick, after it's washed 3 or 4 times, Tyvek becomes more subdued, and less in-your-face...much easier to live with.

What I am wondering about, and probably rick, is how the paint holds up over time.

I believe I saw an update recently from convert that the paint didn't hold up too well after stuffing and unstuffing the tarp. I think he had some flaking. (of the paint, I can't comment on his personality)
