Been deer hunting past 10 days and so one day, when the weather was going to change, I threw the flame thower socks in the back pack, black rock hat, couple of diff. pairs of gloves in,,weather was sucky,,and sitting in a tree stand all day with the wind blowing more than 45 mph at the top of a ridge with the temp dropping more than 20 degrees,,,,wearing light weight sorel boots,,I took the liners out as my feet were getting cold,,and wow...the flame thrower socks fit so perfect without squishing them much..to my delight..sitting in the stand with the flame thrower socks, and black rock hat on the bald head,,was so toasty,,I just had to pass on the way I was using them to everybody as if you have a pair of sorels,,and you take the liners out and wear the flame throwers in a situation like this, not using them to walk with or anything,,its a very great way to stand the cold temps and wind. Here in southern Indiana,,I was sitting at 900 ft alititude (which is as high as it gets anywhere in Indiana) where 2 oak ridges met,,rocking in the stand,,post toasty warm,,and did shoot a 225lb field dressed nice 8, pointer with muzzleloader ,wearing some of Paul's flamethowers,,and bragging to all my buddys about my feet being so warm. I sat in that stand over 5 days waiting on that buck, 37 hrs total, and each day the wind didn't get below 30mph,,with one day having tornado warnings and the flame throwers kept me going! Try it! Works great!
