Feeler- AT Trip from Iron Mountain Gap to Erwin, TN

Hey all,

I'd like to get a trip together in April (either during week or weekend depending on what works for everyone) possibly to do some backpacking from Iron Mountain Gap Rd in Unicoi to Uncle Johnny's in Erwin. It's right at 20 miles or so and I'm thinking about 4 nights just so it can be enjoyed and not miserable. I've done my share of forced ruck marches. One outstanding part will be a nite on top of Unaka Mountain, which is absolutely beautiful and last time I was there had many trees to hang from. Any interest or ideas? I'm new to hanging so I thought this might be a good opportunity to meet people I can learn from.

I'm figuring the 3rd week of April starting on 16th or so. Or the following week

Weekends work best for me personally. Less hassle to get time off both jobs

My schedule is pretty flexible so maybe the 20th-23rd or so

3 nights at most would work better… 20 miles would only be 7 miles a day, that’s a pretty easy hike!
I may be in… let’s see how the weather goes.
