I know that REI and Bi marts carry them.
At one point they took out of state ones from Washington and Idaho I believe
but im not sure about that now. I will look into it.
Would be easy enough to grab one one the way into town.

Here is a link to a list of Vendors
    http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV/docs/..._list.pdf?ga=t

Ok after reading on the Washington site
    http://www.parks.wa.gov/winter/permits/
It says Washington cars must have Washington permits and that there excepted here.

    Please share your thoughts!

I want to JUMP on stormcrows deal today. I am considering the phoenix, with some overstuff, i am leaning toward at least 2 oz of overstuff, I plan to use it for our campout, i will use my 20degree NF down mummy as a TQ.

I also want it to be my general purpose UQ for the NW (usually even in the summer it can get into the 40's. or colder at night) and im thinking if its much warmer i can adjust the top quilt for ventilation (ya know, since heat rises and all)

For the winter hang i can use poylpro underwear/ and or Silk sleeping bag liner if i really need to supliment.

What are your Oregonian/Wet cold weather thoughts about how much overstuff? I tend run warm, but i have done my fair share of winter(on top of snow) sleeping and HATE HATE HATE trying to sleep cold. Did I mention I dislike being cold and trying to sleep?

    Thanks much!

Not sure about Over-stuffing, I have a Leigh-Lo 0 degree and I didn't add any and I was almost too warm at 22 degrees.
But they do say they already over-stuff by like 30%?

I am totally with you on hating being cold.
And WOW thats a good deal!

Thanks Gary, Yeah i saw Leigh-los 30% overstuff, and thats one of the reasons why I am considering getting the overstuff on the HG. Yeah its a crazy good deal.

**I went with a 3 oz overstuffed phoenix, (a similar ratio to the 30%)**

3 ounces of over stuff is nearly 40% overstuffing (3/8 = .375). Why not just go with a 0 degree instead. The 0 degree has bigger baffles that will actual give the down room to loft more. Just because it is overstuffed do not mean that there is enough room for the down to actually expand.

i was thinking 0 sounded like overkill for oregon winters, but i dont want to be cold...

My wife convinced me to go for broke and do the full 3 OZ, it was 153 vs. 169 for the 0. hmmm....

I already made the order! 37.5% overfill does sound a bit zany, but i was also thinking that if i have it a for quite a while itll keep its warmth... Thoughts?
