    [Video] Overland 7 night trip

    Hi All,

Finally I've finished processing and uploading all 6 videos of my recent(ish, 10th of October start) 7 night walk in Tasmania's Overland track, this is widely claimed as Tasmania's best walk, it's so popular that certain times of the year you have to book to do it.

Was a highly enjoyable trip and planning on doing it again with a few different things, never done a walk anywhere near as long so i fell into the trap of taking a little too much - but not by much, my pack was still allot smaller and skinner than most.

Nice report Segiy, that's a lot of video!

Its a great trip and you've done it proud. Doesn't the beer taste good at Cynthia Bay?

This mountain is called Mt Oakleigh. Great shot by the way. Morning shot for sure...

    Cheers.

    Hello there Segiy,

Well, what a trip! Your report caught my attention, because I have big plans to do that walk. It would have to be late summer, because Bruciehi5 is allergic to snow. lol You seemed to be pretty lucky with the weather, for the most part anyway. Snow, dry, rain, snow dry... something like that. The waterfalls two thirds of the way, where you talked loud, were really flowing, bucket loads, as you put it. I like the idea of breaking up the scenes with photos as you did every now and then. You take a good pic! Thoughs shoes are crap! It was good of the shop to swop them, good for you anyway. Thanks for the tour of some of the huts and the look around the camp sites. You didn’t seem to have too much trouble finding a place to hang. Anyway, it was good to see a hammock hanger doing that walk. You sure would have been the most comfortable person out there. Except for that one time, you would have been the most well rested too. Thanks for the videos!

Cheers everyone, I had no issues finding spots, but if it was peak season it could be hard to find a spot around some of the more fragile area's, if/when I do it again in peak (oh i'm doing it again, many times I suspect) I plan to have a cuben tarp, lighter hammock and probably a bivy bag as a backup (don't trust using hammock on ground, I toss around at night).

Also dunno what happened with flickr... that photo was tagged, but cheers
