I'd love to go, but not sure if I'm ready for the temps yet gear-wise.

Howdy fellas, I'm 99% sure I'm a go for this trip. If I can find someone to work for me on Friday, than I will be up Thursday night, if not than I will be up Friday night-Sunday. I've been dying to try out some of my winter weather gear, and also looking forward to meeting a few of you folks in the process!!! Now, Snipen lets try and keep the campfire conversation a little more appropriate this time

Finally got word that I will have that Friday off, that means I will be able to get up there late Thursday after work. I hope there is some cold weather, kinda tired of this mild weather we've been having. Looking forward to meeting everyone and placing faces with names.

Thanks Fourdog. Maybe I just had to hear it twice for it to make sense.
Hey all,
Looks like i have my sleeping gear figured out, with some DIY quilts, so count me in also.
Hi everyone,
Just an FYI for anyone coming or thinking about coming that doesn't think they have enough insulation. I will be bringing with me to the parking lot an extra 20 degree down top quilt, 20 degree 3/4 UQ and a pod system. so I can help suppliment anyones sleep system to make sure you have enough for the weekend.
Cheers-

it is what I was using on the Fall Northern Hang- it is a 40 degree mountain hardwear bag with an expansion insert to make it wider and put the zipper on top for easy use, so you don't get squeezed. I sewed some loops in it to make it hang perfectly on a gathered end hammock. it works great. easily adds 30 degrees to any system.
