1st Snowshoe of the season (pic heavy)

went out on my first snowshoeing hike of the winter, it wasn't a very long (maybe 3 miles) but it was absolutely beautiful outside

we got about 12" of fresh powder last night to go on top of the 10" that was already on the ground so i decided it was time for a hike

I don't like winter...well, let me change that; my body does not like winter but I love, love, love the beauty of winter and those are just gorgeous pictures and you were in a perfect area. Makes me think of greeting cards.

Awesome pics. I love the Dakotas and miss the Black Hills...I am so envious, we got 3 inches other nite, but its about all gone now...waiting on the weekend and next batch of snow as they are predicting more for us in southern Indiana. Hope we get some and it hangs around as I love hunting in the snow and being out in it. Enjoy winter!
