    Welcome from a retired Chief. There is a ton of great information here on HF take your time sifiting through it. By the time you ready to start hammock camping you will have a very solid knowledge base.

    Aloha from Schofield.. I'm from TN, stuck on this rock for two more years. I'm sorta in the same situation, camping in very limited on the island but there are places. Packing now for a 4 day in the field. I'm taking my ENO dble with me. Don't have a tarp yet so I,m using my poncho!
