Cinch buckle fiddly to undo - Help!

Got adjustable webbing straps on my BB and love them. It's fine tightening them but loosening them is fiddly and awkward. I know there must be a knack of opening the buckle easily & smoothly but, try as I might, I just cant find a quick & easy way to do it. I always need two hands to loosen it but I need a hand free to deal with the strap.

Don't want Whoopie slings, don't like them.

Can anyone help? Are there any vids on how to do it?

    Thanks folks

Are these the latest no slip cinch buckles? Those are the ones I have and they grip really well.

I use two hands but adjust the webbing without much trouble. To loosen, separate the cinch buckles so that there is a gap of an inch or so. I slip a finger or two between the buckles and then pull the webbing through with my other hand.

To do it one handed, maybe you could put a spacer such as a small branch between the cinch buckles.

Grab the end of the hammock with your 3 outer fingers to un-weight it. Use the index finger and thumb, along with your other hand to separate the buckles and keep them that way with the index and thumb. Now your other hand is free to deal with the strap.

The perfect cinch buckle has yet to be invented.

Whoopie slings have the same problem when adjusting a weighted hammock. I like UCR's. You can adjust with practically zero effort.... I believe they're the lightest option too. Win/win.

As for the webbing buckles on the Blackbird, and probably most buckles of this type, here's a video I made to show how I adjust/loosen them.
