    Regular vs Long

I'm sure this has probably been asked before but I couldn't find it with the search function.

What is the difference between the long and regular size quilts that the Jacks sell? Is there just one more baffle (is that the right word) on the long quilts vs the regular size quilts?

The description on the Jacks page says:
For individuals over 5 feet 10 inches tall we offer a long version (86" in length).
Well guess what, I'm 5'10". So this becomes an important question for me (I would prefer to buy from the secondary market). Anyone out there around 5'10" and have experience with a regular vs long of the Jacks quilts when using them as a TopQuilt?

I currently have a Shenandoah in long size so I have a good reference point for discussion/comparison.

I'm 6'3 and always order their long quilts which are plenty long for me. I would guess you would be fine with a regular length.

Generally a long is about 8 inches longer...Depending on the model of quilt it may be an extra baffle, or two or , resized baffles.

5-10 is fine in a regular of any model.

PS... You really do want to watch for JRB holiday special sales as they are often better than the resale market.

I was thinking that the long would probably be a decent fit. My Shenandoah is a long and I like to wrap it around my neck and bunch it up a bit. Hopefully I can still do the same with a regular length then.

It's great getting a quick response from the man himself. Great customer service as always.

Now to decide if I want/can to wait for the holiday specials or not

I'm 5'-10" and i have to always go with long. It's too close of a call to go with regular.

Don't forget to factor in the size of your feet into the equation. Someone 5'10" with size 9 feet will get by with a shorter TQ than someone the same height and size 12...unless you sleep with your toes pointed straight up.
