First I'd like to compliment whatever mods arranged for links to appear in a new tab/window. I'm trying to get the other forum I frequent to do that. (how's that for the beginning of a criticism sandwich Karl?? http://confident1.com/how-to-deliver...icism-sandwich )

I think I see OPs point. New posts will take you to...uh...new posts but I often miss posts totally without scouring through dates and post titles. Unread posts will load you up with tons of posts maybe from long past at first but once you catch up I think it's more manageable. At least it is another way of ensuring I get all content read. Then again, maybe I'm just confused about the difference.

(Sandwich cont.) What a great site this is!

    Yummmm-triple smoked bacon!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

I had to vote for my own suggestion, or it would have been bacon for sure. I put it as an option because if you weren't biased either way, then bacon is the preffered option......always......mmmm bacon.

I may be a sad sad man ( OK I AM a sad sad man) but the main problem I have with the new posts button, or todays posts button, both of which are my 90% goto for browsing HF, is that I generally dont get time to trawl ALL the way back through the NEW POST list, which I like to do.

If I have a need for info, I search or just trawl the relevant sub forum, but I prefer to work my way back through the various new posts, reading any that catch my interest.

Another option I guess, if it doesnt already exist, is a choice, once you reach the end of the "New Posts" to read/load older posts?

I am in no way being critical, and I hope I'm not sounding needy/whiny because I think the forum rocks, super cerial, I am just attempting to add some personal "constructive criticism" which can be taken or left, and if there is an existing method of achieving my aims re older posts, then I would love to hear it!

EDIT- Just to point out Milarky is spot on, new post button is teh awesome generally, but being able to list all unread posts, or go back in stages past my current list of "new posts" is what I want to do. If I am asking for too much, then what I have is awesome, this would just be the icing on the cake as it were....... (For the record, I prefer pie)
