I spent the weekend hanging in 25* weather and all in all quite warm. I was useing my DIY hammock with winter burrow top quilt and 20* F incubator underquilt. My only complaint, (very minor) is when I rolled over the the ripstop of the hammock was not warm yet an was a bit cool to the touch.
My thought was to have a dedicated winter hammock and sew a ultra lite fleece to the inside hammock itself. Iwas thinking of those light micro fleece throw blankets. I know if you just thow a blanket in the hammock it bunches up. but if you sew it with chanels ever 6 to 8 inches and dart the ends this just might be a good idea.
Like I said it would be a dedicated winter hammock. Just like flannel sheets. has any one done this? Or would their be an issue with condensation?
