    Help Me Baffle!

For a winter uq, what direction should your baffles go? Lengthwise (parallel to your hammock) or widthwise (perpendicular to you hammock)

From what I have seen (and you can look up some of the images of some HF vendors here and their work) but it runs the length of the hammock - parallel to ensure that the down does not migrate from the sides to the center.

Correct, baffles run lengthwise. I just got a Winter Yeti, and that is how it is made.

yeah i like to run mine lengthwise as well and don't forget small chambers mean no cold spots ... down has no where to go
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

I just finished mine, and they go lengthwise thank goodness. But I wish I would have seen the "smaller baffles is better" comment about 2 weeks ago.
