70D Crinkle Taffeta from DIY Gear Supply

Just wondering if anyone on here has used this fabric for a DIY hammock and how you like it.

    Peace,
    David

I have used it for a hammock. It is very comfy on the skin. It feels very substantial (compared to all the thin nylons I'm used to). It does seem to have more stretch than most nylons, although that's not a scientific measurement.

I have used it too. I like the feel of the material, kind of like an ENO. I too, think it has more stretch to it, but have not really measured it.

This is now my "go to" hammock!!

i'm getting one tonight, - made from the diygearsupply stuff- black 70D parachute. if its anything like my treklite double, i'll be extremely happy.

like others said, burly fabric- and assuming just the right stretch for my body libs

I was thinking about using it and asked Scott about the weight. He indicated that it should weigh about 1.9oz/yd^2, as it's a 70d weave but he had not actually weighed it.

    Thanks for the input.

It sounds like a great material. I think I may give it a try since I'm not in love with how the standard rip stop materials feel against my skin. I'm thinking it will be worth a few ounces for the comfort.

    Peace,
    David
