    Couple noob questions on NX250

Well I just got my hammock! I hung it in the garage it took forever to get what seems like the right adjustment on the suspension lines. I have watched Shugs videos and want to get the whoopie slings. First off are they fat guy approved? Im around 260 and pretty good at breaking things, bull in a china shop comes to mind. Second are they pretty easy to install on the Clark? Will the aluminum toggles hold up to me or do I need beaners? I think it may be nap time......................
    Thanks

Whoopies and the toggles should hold you. They are pretty heavy duty, though they don't look it. Congrats on the NX-250. I love mine....

    Congrats on the new NX-250.

The whoopies are very easy to swap out. Once you untie the knot on the stock suspension tie the whoopie to that rope and when you pull out the stock rope it will thread the whoopie sling through the end channel.

Once you have it all in front of you it'll be clear.

Good deal on receiving your new Clark hammock Psyop. Standard 7/64" whoopie slings will hold you just fine. Here is a link to a video I made installing them on a NX-250. Enjoy that new hammock!

I just recently switched to whoopies and cna't believe I waited so long.. like you I wasn't sold on that tiny string not breaking or slipping or whatever. So long as you put the whoopie on the knot and not the toggle, they'll hold you

Ive just replaced the standard nx250 ropes with a 7mm rope from the camping store. Saved 100 grams in doing it to.
There is a video on youtube of a person tying the drip ring to the rope and then around the object holding the hammock and then threading the rope back through the drip ring and tying it. By doing this it allows for easy adjustment of the hammock rather than tying and untying to get the right sag.

If you take a look at a recent thread of mine you can see pics of some of the changes ive made, hope it helps and congratulations on your clark, loving mine, cheers Doz

I suggest the All In One System from Whoopie Slings. No toggles to worry with and everything is all together so you don't accidentally leave your straps on a tree somwhere. Very easy to change our too.
